A hack demonstrating how to clean an air fryer easily in just three minutes has been doing the rounds on social media. TikTok users have gone wild over the method, which easily leaves the air fryers sparkling. However, it could also break your machine.
Videos demonstrating the hack have been incredibly popular. One has amassed 9.6 million views and almost 600,000 likes.
A mum hack influencer, Nicole, who has more than 500,000 followers on the app and over 24 million lines tested it herself. The hack suggests filling the air fryer drawer with water and soap, before putting it back in the machine and turning the air fryer on at 370C for three minutes.
The content creator, who goes by @hello_happy_mom on the app, was thrilled to see the hack left her air fryer clean. She wrote: “I tried the TikTok air fryer hack! Y’all it works! Have you guys tried this? It’s awesome.”
But, other TikTok users warned her against it. One wrote: “Instructions say to literally not do this”. Another said: “You are not supposed to put water in it.”

One content creator found by Express.co.uk had poured six boxes of baking soda down her toilet in one sitting for a video.
It could also permanently damage your toilet, a costly mistake to make.
